Sunday Bulletin

3rd Sunday of Advent

Readings.  Gospel: Luke 3:10-18

Morality is an integral domain of church life and essential to healthy spirituality.  Isaiah the prophet is renowned for his powerful stands on social justice and forcing the Israelite nation to live up to their covenant.  John the Baptist continues this prophetic role.  His moral preaching as a way of life, not as a choice but as a command no religious person can ignore.  Religious people are moral people.

The Christmas party was a happy affair.  Thanks to all who volunteered their time to make this a success.  Get ready for the next big event - St. Patrick's wild Celtic bash.
The second collection at St. Cecilia's this Sunday is a Christmas gift for our CCD children.  Denise Bohman is taking them to a movie and pizza.
I have a liturgical idea of having a place in the church set aside for Saint's feast days throughout the year.  If anyone has a statue of a saint in their homes, they could bring the statue to the church during the week of the Saint's feast day.  It is only a thought, let me know what you think?
We will updating our parish directory in January 2007.  Fill out the form and return it to the rectory.
