Readings.  Gospel: Luke 3:1-6

    John the Baptist is the last of the Old Testament prophets by Christian understanding.  The Jews consider Jesus Christ as the last prophet since he is not considered the Messiah. John the Baptist clearly paves the way and unequivocally states the Son of God made man has come into this world.  That is what we celebrate first and most at Christmas.

      The Jesse Tree in the sanctuary of St. Cecilia's received $800 for toys and joys.  Santa must be smiling.

      Christmas Party forget-me-not, this evening, 5 p.m.  With great food and entertainment. The most important of all is your presence.  Let's celebrate communal life with parishioners.
