Readings. Gospel: Mark 10:35-45 James the apostle had seen so many people come to Jesus looking for favors and personal requests. James decided he was not going to be left out, and so demanded his terms of discipleship. The only favor Jesus promised James was not Power or Rank which he was seeking, but Suffering and Sharing is cross.
Pray for our parishioners who are ill: Maureen Fulton, Bill Anderson, Gerry Guiney, Stan Dentkos , and Art Garcia. . "We cannot suffer with the Poor when we are not willing to confront those who cause poverty,." Henri Nouwen, Dutch Catholic priest, 1932-1996.
